2010-2011 SCHOOL YEAR

Lesson scheduling begins with a clean slate at the beginning of the school year.  Lesson time slots are reserved on a 1st come 1st served basis.   Previous and summer lesson times are not carried through to the new school year.

5% Early Registration Discount for Current and Returning Students Only. Register and pay in full for Fall Term
before August 28th and receive a 5% tuition discount. Early registration discount does not apply to classes, study of second instruments, adult lessons or cello.  You may only register for the next term if past due balances are paid current.  Early enrollment begins August 14th.

Your Lesson Time - Current Students
You can reserve a timeslot for your private lesson for the 2010-2011 school year when your past due balances are paid current and you register and make a payment (either in full or a first installment). Current or returning students can register early (before open registration). Those paying on installment plans do not receive the 5% early registration discount, however, early registration improves the chance that you will receive or keep your desired lesson time. Lesson scheduling begins with a clean slate at the beginning of the school year.  Lesson time slots are reserved on a 1st come 1st served basis for the new school year.   Previous and summer lesson times are not carried through to the new school year.  You must register to secure a lesson time for the Winter Term. Scheduling of private lessons will be done through the HPSI office only, so make sure to reserve a space on your teacher's schedule when you register, whether in person or by phone. SCHEDULING DONE DIRECTLY WITH THE PRIVATE TEACHER IS UNOFFICIAL AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. If you have a tight schedule, please register as soon as possible to ensure that we can accommodate your needs. You may only register for the next term if past due balances are paid current.

Private lessons are Monday through Thursday, 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Saturdays, 8 am to 5 pm when the instructor and space are available. 

Lesson Times- New Students
Open registration for the Fall Term begins August 28th after the student concert. New students are welcome to register earlier but early registration discount does not apply. New students may reserve their lesson time on the 1st day of open registration and times are assigned on a 1st come/1st served basis. 


Second Instruments
Students may study a second instrument for a discounted rate.  Student must be enrolled at HPSI for their primary
instrument.  Students should discuss their desire to study a 2nd instrument with their instructor. 5% Early Registration discount does not apply to tuition for study of 2nd instrument.


Registration after Term Starts
New students may register year round.  Prorating available for new students.   

Tuition
Tuition is a flat fee per term.  Please read the reverse side of your registration form for our missed lesson and refund policy.  Check the calendar for holidays and school closings.  Payment options may be available upon qualification.   A surcharge will apply.  Tuition includes all expenses for field trips and participation in concerts.

Classes
Classes can be taken in addition to the group class assigned. Classes begin the first week of the term.  The 5% early registration discount does not apply to classes.  Classes are 50 minutes long and are open to the public.

Prospective Students
Interested students/families should observe at least 1 private lesson and 1 group lesson before registering and before being assigned a teacher. After enrollment, Suzuki parents are required to attend parent workshops and complete assignments. NEW PARENTS must attend a Parent Orientation for questions, scheduling and registration. Parent or guardian must attend all lessons.

Tuition Assistance
A limited number of need based financial aid offerings and music activities scholarships may be available when funds are available for studio openings we designate.
